Overview
PagerDuty is looking for a highly motivated and technically savvy professional to join our global payroll team. This role will coordinate with payroll providers on any required filings, payments, nuances and/or updates of payroll wage and tax matters for the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions.
We are looking for someone who can collaborate and communicate cross-functionally, who is detail-oriented and possesses strong interpersonal communication skills; as you’ll be interacting daily with external vendors, cross-functional departments and PagerDuty employees.
How You Contribute to our Vision;
â Directly accountable for processing payroll in the US and internationally for ~1,500 employees in a fast-paced and high-growth company.
â Process semi-monthly and monthly a high volume of stock payroll transactions including RSUs, ESPP, ISOs and NQs.
â Assist with expat arrangements and tax equalization implications and on-going submissions.
â Drive metrics and identify areas of opportunity for automation and process improvement.
â Work closely with key business partners to identify areas for improvement and customer-specific solutions.
â Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks).
â Provide expertise on payroll processing in the US and internationally to ensure best practice.
â Prepare or approve payroll accounting close process (calendar, reviews, reconciliations, analysis, reporting).
â Build appropriate internal control requirements, including maintenance of documentation for payroll related processes and providing recommendations, as appropriate. Ensure continued adherence to internal control requirements.
â Support external auditor requests, including research and analysis of audit questions.
â Review and optimize current processes and procedures through continued integration of systems, enhanced automation and digitization of records.
â Perform special projects or other duties as requested.
â Ensure Pagerduty is compliant with all of its payroll tax obligations.
About You – Minimum Requirements;
â Bachelor Degree or other similar professional accreditation.
â Minimum of 5 to 7 years of payroll experience (public company experience a must) including completing on-going payroll close processes.
â Highly autonomous and action-oriented that can deliver large, complex payroll activities through to completion.
â Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional business stakeholders to complete activities.
â Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
â Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
â Experience with Workday HRIS a must.
â Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and ADP Smart Compliance preferred.
â Proficient with Excel (vLookup, pivot tables, etc.)
