Container Solutions helps companies migrate to Cloud Native. Working together with our clients’ teams, we tailor and implement solutions that last, by focussing both on technological as well as organisational transformation. When companies like Google, Shell, and Adidas need help with Cloud Native, they turn to Container Solutions.

Our people are innovative and curious. They join us to learn, collaborate, and share their knowledge. With close to a hundred colleagues, and offices in Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Prague, Warsaw, and Montreal, we are building an exciting future. Will you be a part of it?

About the role

We’re looking for people who have already been working in IT for a couple of years and are interested in expanding their knowledge and expertise in the Cloud Native field.

In essence, you will work on one of our Cloud Native transformation projects, building the infrastructure from scratch and helping customers migrate their applications to the cloud.

When we break it down, it means you’ll be part of a team with some of the best Cloud-Native Engineers in the world – to learn from and work with.

Our outstanding engineers live all over the world and you will collaborate with them over video calls and Slack (we have no-meeting Wednesdays so you can also get stuck into deep work!)

While you will work independently, you will always have a team of senior Cloud-Native engineers to ask for advice and help as you need it.

We want your ideas, thoughts, and experiments and you will regularly present them in a supportive and constructive environment. You’ll create your own personal development plan with your manager, to take your career to where you want it to go.

We are looking for people who live in these timezones: GMT-6 to GMT+3

What’s in it for you?

      • We pride ourselves on mentorship, support, collaboration, and vulnerability. Our approach to psychological safety, growth and personal development makes it a perfect environment for someone starting their journey as a Cloud Native Engineer. We know that one year working on projects with us is equivalent to three years in a different type of company (product company) in terms of depth of experience.
      • We offer a diverse work environment where people are respected for who they are and a culture based on learning, trust, and collaboration.

If you want to grow well and quickly, CS is the place for you.

You can also count on:
Tailored personal development plan built together by you with your manager
Exposure to working with Kubernetes in a production environment
Working with a variety of cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and new niche tools in the Cloud-Native field (secret operators in K8s, advanced Docker, istio, Tekton etc.)
Opportunity to learn from some of the best engineers in the field
Opportunity to work on setting up the implementation and maintenance of infrastructure environments of and at customers
Learning more about what consultancy work involves
Diversity in technical challenges (each customer setting is different)
Regular access to industry events
Budget and time for learning, personal development, certifications, and contributing to open-source projects
A competitive salary (aligned with your experience)
Unlimited books budget
Possibility for employee ownership and equity-based compensation

What does it take?

      • We often build tailored, innovative solutions within complex and ambiguous environments. On top of that, consulting with clients, which depends on asking the right questions and crafting solutions as a team, requires strong collaboration and communication skills.
      • You need to be inquisitive and eager to explore.

Must-have skills
1 year or more background in development and/or operations
Experience in at least one of the following areas: CI/CD, Infrastructure provisioning, Software development
Excellent English language skills

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (user-level) and willingness to learn more in the Cloud Native field
Experience with private or public cloud
Implemented CI/CD solutions in at least 1 project
A passion for the community (attending events, advocating cloud technology via meet-ups and conferences, or writing blog posts and other pieces of content)

Want to work with us? If you’ve made it this far, we (probably) definitely want to work with you too!

      • Drop us your CV and tell us, briefly, why you are applying. If your CV shows that you have what it takes, here’s how we will proceed:

Stage 1:
CV sift based on our core requirements for this role + possible call with the recruiter

Stage 2:

Stage 3:
Final Behavioural and Technical Situation Interview with two members of our engineering team.
