The Role

We are looking for a Legal Operations Administrator who will serve as an integral member of Kasa’s growing legal team. The role will  (i) support Kasa’s real estate and commercial contract process by managing the contract portfolio, administering the company’s contract management software, and assisting with some contract review and drafting with the supervision of Kasa’s in house counsel, (ii) manage Kasa’s corporate entity structure, including forming and maintaining subsidiaries, (iii) help maintain Kasa’s insurance portfolio and manage claims, and (iv) manage an organized filing system for all important legal team documents.

You will report to the General Counsel and work closely with other attorneys on the Legal team, as well as cross-functional stakeholders.

About the Team

This role resides within Kasa’s Legal team, which is composed of attorneys who work remotely and are located in California and the East Coast. The Legal Ops Administrator role is primarily a remote role with occasional on-site work in Kasa’s New York office. Kasa’s Legal team runs a robust in-house real estate transactions function, handling a high volume of complex, fast-paced partnership negotiations and providing ongoing counseling to Kasa’s Real Estate team members and regional property managers. In addition, the Legal team is also responsible for the following subject matter areas: corporate, employment, intellectual property, litigation, privacy, commercial contracting, risk management, and product counseling.

Day in the life of a Kasa Legal Operations Administrator

  • Serve as an integral member of the Legal team in identifying legal, procedural, and other issues and resolving them or bringing them to the attention of the appropriate attorney.
  • Assist with implementation of commercial contract process.
  • Form domestic subsidiaries, maintain registrations and internal documentation for all corporate entities and build scalable processes for corporate management.
  • Organize and maintain company agreements, legal files and records.
  • Serve as an administrator of Ironclad, Kasa’s contract management system. Responsibilities include assisting internal clients with navigating the system, training new users, adding and removing users, updating templates and workflows for form agreements, troubleshooting errors, and looking for ways to enhance the system and related processes.
  • Summarize material real estate contract terms and track key dates and ongoing obligations and work closely with Kasa’s finance and property management teams to ensure compliance with contracts and to handle portfolio expansions and lease renewals.
  • Complete insurance applications, process renewal of policies, manage open claims, work with internal stakeholders to collect certificates of insurance from vendors, and ensure compliance with contractual insurance obligations.
  • Under the supervision of Legal team attorneys, review and edit legal agreements and documents for accuracy.
  • Identify and assess risk and communicate proposed solutions effectively with internal team members.


  • 2+ years of professional experience in the legal, paralegal, or similar field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and flexible when it comes to roles and responsibilities
  • Technologically fluent and familiar with contract lifecycle management software or eager to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
