Our perfect IT Security Administrator is enthusiastic about providing excellent technical support to other Retail Zipline employees and has experience in a fully remote company administering cloud tools such as 1Password, GSuite/Google Workspace, and Slack, as well as managing and troubleshooting Apple laptops. They have a strong understanding of cloud tools and services, particularly around areas such as integration, authentication, and security.
Provide remote technical support to other employees, helping them to quickly solve problems and work more efficiently
Onboard and offboard employees – manage accounts and permissions following all necessary compliance steps
Apple laptop logistics – provision, decommission and repurpose company laptops
Perform regular security and compliance checks such as user access reviews
Administration of company laptop and mobile device management tools
Setup and integration of cloud tools
Advocate security best practices and secure ways of working to other employees
Continually monitor for areas of potential security weaknesses or risk, particularly around how sensitive data is accessed and shared
Gain visibility into cloud application usage to improve security and consolidated billing
Recommend process improvements to security leadership
More about you:
We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive, and can work independently. The majority of communication with team members will take place asynchronously and you’ll be managing your own time.
You need to be excited and enthusiastic about your work, and take pride in your thoroughness, attention to detail, and the help you provide to other employees
You have a good understanding of cloud security, macOS, iOS, and Android device security
You’ll be an excellent problem solver, with patience, perseverance and excellent Google skills to research the most obscure problems
You enjoy working from home, fully remote
You’re comfortable working with cloud based tools and platforms for managing information, tracking projects, and communicating with the team such as Basecamp, Google Docs, and Slack
You’ll receive a Macbook as a company laptop. Ideally, this is also your first choice of laptop outside of work, and you have plenty of knowledge of working with macOS.

How do we work? Remotely. We have been 100% remote since the company was founded and we have it down to a science – – a people science. We huddle as a team weekly and as a company 3 times a week. On Fridays, we come together to learn from each other. One week it might be about opossum rescue. Another week it might be an update on our product roadmap or the results of our customer satisfaction survey. We are all masters of Zoom and love the freedom of working from home – – or vans – – or sailboats.
