The opportunity:

Parsley Health is hiring a Part-Time Health Coach to join our team. This person will carry a caseload of patients and work to be an effective accountability partner in supporting patients to make long-lasting lifestyle changes to benefit both physical and mental wellbeing. This part-time role is remote and will report into the Lead Health Coach.

We’re seeking Health Coaches for a commitment of 23 hours/week, with 14 hours/week of clinical, member-facing time.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Parsley clinicians to develop individual care plans based on patient evaluations and diagnostic tests
  • Support patients in making nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve their physical and mental wellbeing 
  • Be an accountability partner, helping patients to create realistic action steps and holding them to their goals
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate, in collaboration with Parsley clinicians
  • Provide virtual visits and email communication at regular intervals
  • Use online record and patient portal to document patient goals, and provide resources to support those goals
  • Create resources for members, including handouts and condition-specific protocols
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, and protocols 

What you’ll need:

  • Experience and/or training in functional nutrition/functional medicine
    • 2+ years of health coaching experience, or have coached at least 50 people
    • Registered Dietitian, Master in Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition Specialist, or Certification in health coaching (IFM, IIN or similar)
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and succeed in a fast-paced, fluid environment 
  • Comfortable with Mac-based digital platform – Parsley Health is a paperless company. You need to be comfortable using web tools, social media, and learning new platforms like our electronic medical record system.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Familiarity using a MacBook, Google suite, Slack and Zoom

Parsley Health is committed to providing an equitable, fair and transparent compensation program for all employees.

The starting salary for this role is between $46,941 – $53,023, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with candidates during the process.
