About the Role:

The People Team within Extend is hiring a People Operations Coordinator to join our team! The coordinator is an integral partner in managing administrative procedures and partnering with the People Team. This candidate will be an organizational guru and work effectively across multiple teams. They will possess great communication skills, have the ability to shift gears at a moment’s notice and enjoy the challenges of helping move the People team forward. What We Are Looking For:

  • 2+ years job experience in a People administrative role at a tech company.
  • Supports People programs such as benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and learning and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Participate in the development of People objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.
  • Provide effective and dedicated support to employees in relation to leave of absence, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Assists team with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Leads new hire orientation, presenting People messages and supporting paperwork as needed.
  • Ensure consistency in policy format.
  • Track and process requests for personnel files and documents responsive to legal claims.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • You've done this before—you have experience in a high-growth startup environment with constant change as your companion; experience working as a People Administrator, People Operations Assistant or similar.
  • Strong values with a clear inner core of purpose-driven leadership.
  • Strong problem solving, reporting, and analytical skills. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Bachelor's degree or work equivalent
  • Relevant certifications such as SHRM are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of People procedures and policies
